Micro Wizard Software is a division of SWE Engineering. We provide software systems and custom applications for business, engineering, and manufacturing. We have written software for many business and engineering functions, including AutoCAD family of parts programming in AutoLisp, CAD document handling systems, MRP front ends, embedded machine control functions, servo control functions, machine control HMI systems, MS-DOS TSRs, and web design software and services. Our experience in MS-DOS, MS Windows, and Linux make us the ideal company to talk to when you're thinking about integrating different computer systems into your business. Micro Wizard Software has many years of experience creating Control Software for the thermofoming, extrusion, and packaging industries. Our custom applications make it easy for your business to quickly and efficiently build the control interfaces for your machines without having to "re-invent the wheel". Our custom machine interface wizards make it simple to define the controls screens so that they are consistent and error free. These HMI solutions are very highly customized to implement complex special purpose functions of your machines which would be difficult to program into standard off the shelf solutions like Wonderware and Intellution, with all the flexibility of Visual Basic. One of the biggest advantages of this software is that it allows you to create the user interface screens and control functions for your machine with no run-time licenses, and with the small one time cost of a Visual Basic compiler. Because of our engineering background, we have worked with many different CAD systems. Our CAD solutions are highly customized with a very high degree of integration into your engineering and business systems. We have created CAD document handling systems and custom code for creating families of parts in VBA and AutoLisp. As engineers, we understand the need for accuracy and consistency in your CAD design tools. We have much experience not only creating geometry, but also for using the CAD drawing database appropriately to allow extensive information to be extracted from your CAD drawing files. (such as Bills of Meterials, for example) Our Business solutions offer generic, customizable functions meant to enhance the features of your existing business solutions. Database and integration functions are our strong points. We know how to tie into and extend the functionality of your current business software, while eliminating repetitive data entry steps which not only waste time, but cause errors. Our software can be written for many platforms so that its integration with your existing system is seamless and easy to use. We have developed TSR programs that run under MS-DOS. These programs terminate and stay resident. They provide added functionality by providing interfaces to special software and hardware features on your machine. For example, some of our TSR programs provide interfaces to devices such as keypads, encoders, and analog inputs. We have developed many programs and addin functions in assembler. Our experience in assembler programming includes Intel 8080, 80x86, Zilog Z8, and MicroChip PIC processors. These assembler routines and programs execute very quickly, and provide features not available in higher level programming languages. Micro Wizard Software has the following Software available: CAM Wizard - an inexpensive CNC programming system used to create a program file which can be executed directly by the N/C machine. First the part geometry is defined using the built-in geometry program or a standard CAD system such as DesignCAD, or AutoCAD. A full screen text editor with popup menus is then used to select tools, geometry, and machining instructions from a menu based on the geometry and tools selected. The post processor then uses the geometry and instructions to automatically create tool change sequences, tool offsets, speeds, feeds, and all N/C codes. A tape checking program can then be used to interactively check this N/C program by displaying the tool movement graphically as it machines the part in real time. Ed - a Web programmer's editor with functions supporting HTML and ASP programming. It has advanced features for integrating databases with HTML forms, and formatting HTML source code so that it is more readable (and therefore, easier to add the ASP code). Visibility for Windows - a graphical front end for the Visibility software that runs on a VAX under VMS. Visibility for Windows is a real windows application which does more than act as a terminal emulator. It allows you to point and click on the Visibility functions you want to choose. It will enter the option number you choose from the screen, and also has the ability to recognize Visibility screens, and customize is operation. CT Tune - a servo testing and tuning application for graphing position, speed, current and other parameters for tuning Control Techniques drives. HMI/Control - HMI/Control is an application framework for building HMI and Control applications for industrial machinery in Visual Basic. It consists of custom controls and modules which make it easy to configure the control system by simply dropping controls on VB forms, and changing properties of those controls to define how the HMI/Control application will interact with the control hardware on the machine. The custom controls included in the system handle the following types of functions: Manual, Automatic. Time, Temp, Adjust, Setup, and Reporting. The control system is made up of a computer, a PLC, and a servo sub system. HMI/Control's own proprietary HMI (Human Machine Interface) software is used in the computer for handling the user interface, and controlling some functions on the machine. Most machine control I/O (Input/Output) is done through the PLC. This PLC can be a Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron, or GE PLC. The software in the computer specifies the memory locations and timers used to interact with the logic running in the PLC. The system also supports servo control systems by Control Techniques, Delta Tau and Indramat. These servo systems are used to control the indexing of the chains on these machines. Servo systems can also be used for presses and other functions on the machines using very basic control parameters. .PLC Convert - an application which can automatically convert Siemens (TI) PLC ladder logic to run on an Omron PLC. Colortronics Server - This is a Colortronics DDE server for Wonderware. It allows you to connect your Colortronics feeders to a Wonderware system for SCADA applications. ProView - a data aquisition system for watching the progress of your machines. State of the art networking technology is used to provide the operating status and product count of each machine in your plant. Parts get automatically counted, while providing intelligent feedback from your operators. Freeware - Free software for engineering and computer programming. |
