PLC Convert is an application which can be used to convert Siemens (TI) PLC ladder logic to run on an Omron PLC. The ladder logic listing file is first loaded into PLC Convert. Then the "Build" function is run on to convert each rung to the corresponding SysWin code. Rungs can be run on a single line or in automatic mode to convert the entire program. This screen shot of PLC Convert running shows the Ladder, Code, and Symbol windows for a single line of code.

In converting the ladder logic, the program uses settings from the configuration files to determine how to convert from TI addresses to Omron Addresses, how to convert symbols, and how to abbreviate symbols. Abbreviations can be used to convert symbols which needed to be shortened in order to fit in TiSoft. Spell checking can also be done. This is not only for fixing spelling mistakes, but also to enable the programmer to automatically change symbols references which wouldn't look nice after the conversion.
Sample configuration files are listed below:
Address Mapping
C1=300.00-511.15 V1=1 X1=0.00-29.15 Y1=0.00-29.15 X501=200.00-252.15 Y501=200.00-252.15 WX145=150 TCC1=CNT1 TCP1=TIM1 STW1=256 O/S=30 Dummy=256.00 50-99=DM245
Abreviations

The PLC Convert program will convert the ladder logic either a single line at a time, or automatically convert every line. Once the program has been converted, the codes and symbols can be loaded into SysWin one by one, or as a complete program. Ladder logic, Code and Symbols can all be edited individually in this program before sending to SysWin. The PLC Convert program is available for Free download, complete with source code.
